Location and workshop

Grant in his workshop. The train kiln firebox is visible at the top left of the picture. Brisbane has a sub-tropical climate, so a work place without walls is possible. There is a problem with mosquitoes at some times of the year.

Although Grant is close to Brisbane,  firing wood kilns is still possible because of the nature of surrounding properties. This is Grant's backyard, with pizza oven. The pile of wood in the background is next to the anagama. The neighbours run horses, hence the white fences.
